Weronika Murek — Feinweinblein and other dramas

Born in 1989, graduate of the Faculty of Law and Public Administration at the Silesian University. Lives in Katowice. She received the Witold Gombrowicz Literary Award for her debut collection of short stories, Uprawa roślin południowych metodą Miczurina. The critiques emphasized the author’s outstanding linguistic sensitivity and freedom in creating an original grotesque world. Murek was quite early in her career awarded for her dramatic work as well: already in 2015, she received the Gdynia Drama Award. This spring, she published her collection of dramas, Feinweinblein.
